space sushi.
smart piece of budget marketing. amazing video but somehow feel we would have liked it even more if it were classic sushi on a simple plate, rather than their gimmicky (and possibly offensive?) “Godzirra Roll” on a triangular formica plate of the future…

things we want.
the new VESPA Quarantasei (“46”) concept, inspired by the 1945 MP6 prototype, and shown just recently in Milan. beautifully clean, classic without looking ‘retro’, and with some stunning details.

nike mag.
sneakerheads have been clamoring for these pretty much since back to the future (part 2) was released, and nike’s finally relented. kind of. 1500 pairs are currently on auction until september 18th in aid of michael j. fox’s foundation for parkinson’s research. now we’re all for good causes, but… they don’t self-lace like in the movie, they look ridiculous (yes, they really light up), and current bids are at $5000+(!). we’d recommend waiting until 2015 for the real release.

pink panther mobile.
from the credits of tv’s pink panther show, going on sale next week at “chelsea auto legends” in london. used to think this car was the epitome of cool. almost three decades later, my opinion about the design hasn’t changed that much… although my opinion of how ‘cool’ it would be to be seen driving it definitely has.

ponponpon.
incredible combination of saccharine music, surreal imagery and random choreography that would have even salvador dali saying ‘what the f**k’ if he were alive today… basically harajuku’s famous “kawaii” style taken to the next level.

yo. yo.
ok. so i’ve seen a yo-yo, and i’ve played with a yo-yo, and have a pretty decent knowledge of basic physics, yet i still can’t comprehend what the hell is going on here without coming to the conclusion that voodoo is somehow involved.

(r)evolution.
seemingly rather ‘banksy-inspired’, but still good to see the latest ‘rise of the planet of the apes’ posters are a little more creative than those of the typical run-of-the-mill summer blockbuster.

fisher-price d-lux.
just noticed that COLORWARE has added the LEICA d-lux 5 to their rapidly growing list of items they will ‘recolor’ for you. as a wannabe hipster with a hilarious sense of irony, i ‘toyed’ around with a color scheme inspired by a vintage fisher-price pocket camera, before the realisation that it would cost 400 bucks over the regular 800 dollar price tag brought the childish good times to a rapid halt…
